I’m not gonna be eloquent here, so truth? Cancer sucks! Sponsor me in the 2013 @RelayForLifeBNE to raise awareness & funding in the battle against cancer.

I lost my mum to Cancer the day after I turned 21 & it’s freaking hard to go through that for everyone who is emotionally involved. She was a strong woman & I’ve walked 3 Relay’s for her since then. Each time I walk the Relay For Life it is in remembrance & support of my Mum whom I miss every day.

Chances are you know someone who has cancer, or maybe you have/had it yourself.

I ask you to please donate to a good cause to help those impacted by Cancer in their lives. 2013 is my 4th Relay For Life and each time is just as amazing as the last; time spent with incredible & selfless people in a fun environment supporting an important cause.

Donate direct now, or hang tight for some fundraising fun that me & my team, The 8-bit Heroes, run over the next few months until October. Or do both! It’s all for a very worthy cause & every little bit will be greatly appreciated.

YA Pinup Sketches WIP - just mucking about with an idea. Have roughed out 14 women so far. Not sure I want this style or something more stylized. Still experimenting but today was more about mucking around with proportions & practice. I can tell you I’ll be doing women from TMI, TID, Morganville Vampires, VA, Bloodlines & Divergent so far. Don’t be a dick AU-MY! Stealing other peoples artwork.. you’re kinda missing the point of the slogan you’re quoting.

I worked hard to create this art for my personal use & sharing with other fans for fun (posted originally in April 2012). I did not work hard to create this art so a company I’ve never heard of can save a copy, badly & very obviously modify it, and post it on their website to promote their products without my permission or agreement.

Artists do not create work for people to steal for their own uses. If you want to use someones artwork - it’s pretty simple. Contact them. Ask them. Not too hard right? This makes me both sad & angry.

I’ve contacted AU-MY to request that my artwork be removed from their product page. Now, we wait..

[edit: 26/04/2013] Received an email from AU-MY stating:

I understand that there was an issue with artwork commission for our website, it has now been removed. Thank for informing us of this issue

Ba-bow - sorry guys, you kinda didn’t remove it. Erasing the colour from within the outline & replacing it with a gradient? Yeah, try again. I emailed them back, quoting their own Copyright Terms to them - Terms they were clearly not following and requesting some answers. Shortly after the image on their page was changed to remove my artwork fully. No additional email response from them as yet.

Myrnin & Claire sketch from @rachelcaine’s #MorganvilleVampires series.

I’m gonna say this isn’t Fall of Night spoilery ‘cause unless you’ve read Chapter 1 (which you can read here on the MV website), it won’t make sense anyhow. I’m getting through Fall Of Night way too slowly (curse you real life!), but it is freaking awesome!

This isn’t really exactly what I wanted to draw but its how it came out - wanted something more close up & emotional from this scene. Maybe another scene in the book for later!

If you haven’t read the MV books - what are you doing?! Get to it lads!

Will x Tessa #ClockworkPrincess painting is complete! Three versions because I can’t decide which one I prefer.

1/ Olde photograph style - background is not mine. Original photo from here. Couldn’t resist doing a version in sepia/antique colours.

2/ Just plain Will & Tessa as painted. <3

3/ Not sure why, but I have this thing with painting blue & gold bubbles around these two. This isn’t the first time I’ve done it, & it probably won’t be the last!

I have sketched a Jem x Tessa one to do, but I must admit to being in a Morganville Vampires mood with Fall of Night just out, so that one may need to wait!
